How your first month works
You see our work and your plan before you pay us for our work. Here's what happens, from the first call to the end of your first month.
Our work in month one is free, then £350 a month if you choose to continue. No contract. Any ad spend is yours, paid straight to Google or Facebook, and only if you want ads.

Step 1: The first call
We'll ring during the time you picked (Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm). If we miss you, we'll try once more, then message you to arrange a better time.
The call takes about 30 minutes. We'll ask about:
- what your business does, and the work you'd like more of
- the area you cover
- where your enquiries come from now
- what happens when someone gets in touch: who answers, how quickly, and how quotes or bookings are followed up
- anything you've tried before, and what you made of it
There's nothing to prepare. If you know roughly how many enquiries you get in a normal month, that helps.
Step 2: Your written plan, within two working days of the call
Everyone we speak to gets a written plan, whether they work with us or not. It's in plain English, and it sets out:
- Where you're losing work. How enquiries are handled, missed calls, slow replies, and quotes or bookings that go quiet.
- Where more could come from. Your website, your Google listing (if your business can have one), any ads you run, and which channels suit your business and area.
- What to do first, and what can wait.
- What it would cost, including any ad spend, before you decide anything. For £350 a month we run your Google and Facebook ads, sort out your Google Business Profile, build you a website if you don't have one, set it up for Google search (SEO), and set up automatic follow-up for your enquiries. We agree exactly what your business needs before you go ahead.
Sometimes the quickest win isn't more enquiries. It's losing fewer of the ones you already get. What each service involves
Step 3: A short call to go through it
A short call, about 20 minutes, to go through the plan together and answer your questions. You don't have to decide on the call.
Step 4: If you go ahead, we start straight away
We start work on the jobs at the top of your plan straight away, and you get the start and end dates of your first month in writing. Typical first jobs might be:
- sorting out your Google listing, if your business can have one: services, area, photos, and a simple way to invite recent customers to leave an honest review
- a simple way to reply to missed calls and follow up quotes
- fixing the parts of your website that stop people getting in touch
- tracking, so you can see where enquiries come from
- an ad account set up in your name, if ads are in your plan
These are examples, not a fixed list, and not a promise of what any of them will bring in. Anything not finished in month one carries on in month two if you continue, and it's listed in your plan.
If you need a domain, hosting or a paid tool, it's set up in your name and paid by you, because it's yours.
Around three weeks in: a catch-up call
We go through everything we've done and built so far, and then you decide whether to carry on to month two. We won't chase you.
- No card or bank details at the start. We don't charge for our work in month one, and we don't ask for card or bank details for our fee at the start. Payment is set up only if you choose to continue.
- Carry on. We keep working through your plan at £350 a month.
- Stop. You keep the plan and anything we've built, and you remove our access to your accounts. That's it.
Our work in month one is free, then £350 a month if you choose to continue. No contract. Any ad spend is yours, paid straight to Google or Facebook, and only if you want ads.
What we need from you
- Access. Partner or manager access to the accounts we'll work on, like your Google listing, website or ad accounts. If something doesn't exist yet, we set it up in your name.
- A little of your time. About 30 minutes a week, mostly answering quick questions.
- Photos of your work or premises. Real ones. Phone photos are fine.
- Straight answers about what's working and what isn't.
Ad spend, explained
Ad spend is the money Google or Facebook charge to show your ads. It isn't part of our fee.
- It's optional. A plan can start without any ads at all.
- It's paid straight to Google or Facebook from your own ad account, on your own card. It doesn't pass through us.
- You set the budget, and you can change it or stop it at any time.
- We tell you first. Before anything is spent, we'll say what we'd suggest and why.
